Veteran actor Michael Madsen has passed away at the age of 67, his publicist Liz Rodriguez confirmed. Madsen was found unconscious in his Malibu home on Thursday morning and was later pronounced dead at 8:25 AM by Los Angeles County Fire officials. Sgt. Jauregui of the LASD Lost Hills Station confirmed there were no signs of foul play, and the cause of death appears to be a heart collapse.
Madsen had been active in the film industry for decades and was best known for his collaborations with director Quentin Tarantino, starring in cult classics such as Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill: Vol. 2, The Hateful Eight, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. His performance in Reservoir Dogs was particularly praised, with critic Roger Ebert calling him “a really menacing screen presence… a very mean Robert De Niro.”
