Donald Trump dementia fears spike as doctor makes new dire claims
Trump’s Health in Question Despite Clean Medical Report
Donald Trump insists he’s in excellent health, a claim backed by an April medical report from his physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella. The report stated Trump is physically and neurologically fit, having passed heart scans, a cognitive test, and a colonoscopy that found only mild issues. Trump himself said he “got every answer right” on the cognitive test.
However, some experts aren’t convinced. Psychologist Dr. John Gartner, formerly of Johns Hopkins, recently suggested Trump may be showing early signs of frontotemporal dementia (FTD), which affects movement, behavior, and speech.
He cited Trump’s visible coordination issues, such as difficulty walking and climbing stairs, and noted a specific “leg swing” gait often linked to FTD. Gartner also referenced videos from Trump’s past showing far better physical agility.
Another expert, Dr. Zoffman, reviewed footage and agreed, saying she’s “absolutely convinced” Trump shows signs of FTD. Online speculation has added to the debate, including unverified claims that Trump wears a catheter.
So far, Trump and his team haven’t responded to these concerns. While the official health report gives a clean bill, the contrast between expert observations and public reports has sparked new questions about transparency in the health of political leaders.
