Michael Douglas reveals heartbreaking exit from acting

After nearly 60 years in the entertainment industry, Michael Douglas has announced that he is slowing down and may step away from acting altogether to avoid “dropping dead on set.” Now 80, Douglas began his career in the early 1970s and first gained major recognition as a producer, winning his first Oscar for One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest in 1976—a project he shepherded with the support of his father, Kirk Douglas.
